I was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma and still live in the house I grew up and and raised my 3 children in.  There's a lot of energy here for me, so it's a great place to paint, even if it is on the kitchen counter.  I have been working in art and design for my entire life.  For 22 years, I was a hair dresser.  Pursuing my favorite hobby in the garden, I began studying horticulture, landscape design and construction and went to work in that field in 1992.  In 2004 I started my own company and still operate it as a small family business.  Being often seasonally slow, I find myself with a lot of time to paint....kids are grown and gone....life is evolving.....and I returned to easel and sketch pad, hoping to build a collection that I could sell, exhibit, and in general enrich my golden years when I get past the age of being able to move large rocks and trees around.
